Collie Rugby Event

Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers was delighted to support the Collie Rugby Club Mongrels take on the West Australia Wheelchair Rugby team The Enforcers at a charity match on Saturday 13th June at Roche Park Recreation Centre in Collie.

The event was an outstanding success with the game being commentated live on 1089am radio and Western Force forward, Tom Hocking, there to present the raffle prize of a signed framed Western Force jersey.

Organised by Collie Rugby Club President George Kelly, the event was aimed to raise funds for the Collie Shire Disability fund.

T2o Blast Carnival Comes to Roche Park for another great day of cricket

120 local school students from Allanson, Amaroo, St Brigids, Fairview and Wilson’s Park primary schools joined Collie Cricket Club juniors in Roche Park last Wednesday to take part in the 5th T20 Blast Carnival held by the Perdaman South West Cricket Academy and Western Australian Cricket Association.

Warriors Matt Dixon, Joel Paris and Andrew Tye joined the students on the day, alongside Perdaman South West Cricket Academy High Performance Coach Orazio Santalucia and Perdaman corporate advisor and  former Australian Test Cricketer, Tom Moody.

The Collie Cricket Club played host to the day provding a sausage sizzle lunch and refreshments while the students and Warriors ‘battled’ it out on the field.

It was a fun day enjoyed by all and Perdaman would like to thank everyone involved in making the day a success as always!

Collie Senior High School

Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers were proud to support Collie Senior High School in their participation at the Science & Engineering Challenge 2009.

With over 70 schools from across the state taking part, Collie SHS took first place honours at their heat in Australind on November 5 which lead to their invitation to the Super Challenge in Perth on November 17. Surrounded by activites which reflect current issues such as energy generation and climate change, the students worked through a vast array of challenges which required them to continually modify and improve on what they had constructed.

Collie SHS came 4th in a total of eight schools competing at the Super Challenge.

Perdaman Cricket Clinic

Thursday 25 February marked the first annual Perdaman Cricket Clinic held at Roche Park in Collie.

In association with the Perdaman South West Cricket Academy, Retravision Warriors including Mitchell Marsh, Michael Hogan, Drew Porter and Luke Towers joined Head Coach Tom Moody and the Academy’s own High Performance Coach Andy Cottam, to put on a fun filled morning session of Super 8’s matches with students from Amaroo Primary School, Fairview Primary School, St Brigids Primary and Wilson Park Primary.

The clinic was supported by the Collie Cricket Club who was on hand to provide extra assistance.
