Shire of Collie agrees to amendments for Shotts Industrial Park

State Government plans to create an industrial park near Collie have taken a step forward following the Shire of Collie’s endorsement to amend the Town Planning Scheme.

Regional Development and Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said Shotts Industrial Park would help ensure Collie’s future as a centre for industry and employment.

“Land on which the industrial park will be built is predominantly owned by the Government but held under a variety of titles and zonings. The land needs to be rezoned to build the park. To achieve this, we have proposed amendments to the Shire of Collie’s town planning scheme, which the Shire has supported.”
